Risk Assessment

Risk Assessment

Potential hazards
Who may be harmed and how?
What are you doing to prevent this?
Is any further action necessary?
Falling off the rubble that Thomas will be standing on in order to take the picture.
Thomas may be harmed, by falling off the rubble/ concrete and potentially breaking a bone or another similar injury.
To prevent this I will be aiding him up and won’t let go until a position is found where he is completely safe, then aiding him get down again in order to not slip on the way down either.
No further action is necessary.
The guitar that is around Thomas’ neck.
Thomas may have an injury where the guitar, which is fairly heavy, could cause sprains or if it is dropped could damage his foot for example.
To prevent this I will ensure that he is holding it probably in order to reduce risk to muscles, then to avoid it falling I will have a strap in order for it to stay around his neck and not drop.
No further action is necessary.
Being outside close to traffic.
Being close to office complexes where cars are heavily populating could lead to a chance that a collision could happen between either me or Thomas and a car.
Before taking the photo make sure there are no cars around or any activity of cars, especially if I have to stand in the road in order to get the angle and distance I intend on getting
No further action necessary.
Liquids and electrical equipment coming into contact.
The user of an electrical device will be harmed; this will be from an electric shock.
Don’t allow drinks in the studio where there will be many devices that will get damaged and cause harm, same with drinks being around props.
No further action necessary.
